Our Society’s Events LLC provides event planning services. The Site provides information about our services, allows users to contact us, and may offer other related content or functionality.

2. Use of the Site

You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe the rights of, restrict or inhibit anyone else's use and enjoyment of the Site. Prohibited behavior includes harassing or causing distress or inconvenience to any other user, transmitting obscene or offensive content, or disrupting the normal flow of dialogue within the Site.

You must not use our website to: (a) Conduct any activity in violation of any applicable law or regulation. (b) Transmit or procure the sending of, any unsolicited or unauthorized advertising or promotional material or any other form of similar solicitation (spam). The Site and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of Our Society’s Events LLC and its licensors. Our trademarks and trade dress may not be used in connection with any product or service without the prior written consent of Our Society’s Events LLC. You are granted a limited license only, subject to the restrictions provided in these Terms, for purposes of viewing the material contained on this Site.

4. SMS/Text Messaging Terms & Conditions

By providing your mobile phone number to us through the Site, third-party platforms (like The Knot), direct text message initiation, or other communication channels, you agree to these specific SMS/Text Messaging Terms & Conditions:

Consent to Receive Messages: You acknowledge and agree that by providing your mobile number or initiating contact via SMS, you expressly consent to receive informational and conversational text messages from us at the number provided. These messages may relate to your inquiries, event planning details, vendor coordination, or customer service.
Purpose of Messaging: Our SMS communications are primarily for "Conversational" purposes, allowing back-and-forth communication between you (our client or prospective client) and us, or between us and your designated vendors related to your event. We do not use SMS for promotional alerts unless you specifically opt-in for such a program (which would be governed by separate terms).
Opt-Out: You may opt-out of receiving text messages from us at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us. You may receive one final confirmation message confirming your opt-out. After opting out, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us unless you re-initiate contact or provide your number again. Please note that opting out may impact our ability to communicate timely information regarding your event.

Frequency: Message frequency will vary depending on the nature of your inquiries and the ongoing requirements of planning and executing your event. We aim for low-volume, relevant communication.
Cost: Message and data rates may apply to any messages sent or received in connection with our SMS communications. Check with your mobile carrier for details on your specific plan and costs. Our Society’s Events LLC is not responsible for any charges incurred from your carrier.
Eligibility: By using our SMS service, you confirm that you are the owner or authorized user of the mobile phone number provided and are authorized to agree to incur any applicable message or data charges.
Carrier Liability: Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Privacy: Your privacy related to SMS is governed by our Privacy Policy, available at www.oursocietysevents.com/privacy-policy.

Our Site may contain links to third-party web sites or services that are not owned or controlled by Our Society’s Events LLC.

8. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Our Society’s Events LLC and its licensee and licensors, and their employees, contractors, agents, officers and directors, from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs or debt, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney's fees), resulting from or arising out of a) your use and access of the Site, by you or any person using your account and password; b) a breach of these Terms, or c) Content posted on the Site.

9. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal suit, action or proceeding arising out of, or related to, these Terms or the Site shall be instituted exclusively in the federal courts of the United States or the courts of the State of California in each case located in the City of Santa Barbara and County of Santa Barbara.

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Site immediately, without prior notice or liability, under our sole discretion, for any reason whatsoever and without limitation, including but not limited to a breach of the Terms.
